Dog Kennel Colt Needs Home

"Blaze," a grade 1-2 year old paint gelding, needs a great new home. He was rescued earlier this year from a man who had shoved him in a dog kennel. Yes, really. I saw the pictures myself (though I can't seem to find any copies, sorry).

Anyway, this is Blaze:




Blaze's rescuer is Heather Lynn Kraus, who lives down by Janesville. She says, "he was gelded September 20th, wolf teeth pulled at that time as well. He has been on a rotation wormer schedule, trimmed on a 6 week basis, never been "off" or lame. He stands 13.3 up front, 14 at the hip. He has a negative coggins from 2012. Whoever gets him can pay for the coggins at their expense. No health or soundess issues at all. He vetted out in September as well."

Heather has put some training time on Blaze, and has spoiled him rotten with great food, a warm blanket and regular handling. Now, however, he needs to find a permanent new home. She was originally asking $400 just to cover part of his medical bills, but will take any offers and may even give him away free to the perfect owner. References required!

He also is up to date on shots and just had his feet trimmed. He is approx 5 years old and is a bit timid but very nice. Both are pasture pets. The appaloosa is too old to be ridden but the breeder stock paint is young enough that he would be a great horse with training. Asking $95 for each horse for an adoption fee to cover a coggins test. "2 year old pony mare stands between 12 and 13 hands good project horse. will need a sheet during the summer months due to her shoulders burn. just had her feet done has had barely any work done with her will need work from the ground up. good for farrier and vet loads on a trailer. easy keeper no special diet can be out on pasture. need gone asap come and get her for free have other horses to work with just dont have time for her
